I turn ideas into working products.
A little context
From first question to working product.
Development taught me how to make things work. Communication & Multimedia Design taught me to first ask why they should exist and who they need to work for. At Basticom, I bring both together by building the designer’s designs into live products, connecting the interface, backend and CMS from first component to final launch.
I admire products that make complexity feel simple. Braun, Apple, Elektron and Teenage Engineering show how clarity, character and solid engineering can coexist without feeling disposable. Over 10 years, 9 months and 2 days, that has become my benchmark too: intuitive on the surface and carefully structured underneath.
Experience
A timeline of the work, studies, and hands-on experience that shaped the way I build digital products.
-
Working as a full-stack developer on custom websites and digital platforms using modern web technologies, with a focus on performance, SEO, and user-friendly content management systems. Building and maintaining tailored frontend and backend solutions for a variety of clients.
-
Worked as a full-stack developer using the TALL stack on real-world web applications, mainly EcoMobi, a policy support system for rural municipalities. Gained hands-on experience with collaborative development, Git workflows, code reviews, and building features across both the frontend and backend.
-
Developed a broad skill set in UX/UI design, frontend development, research, and digital product creation. Worked on a variety of individual and team projects using methods such as Scrum, design thinking, and user-centred design. Graduated in 2025 with UntitledOne, an open-source platform for audio collaboration.
-
Started as a web development intern and later continued working at ZeeDesign. Worked on frontend and backend development for WordPress websites and custom projects, translating designs into responsive solutions for clients.
-
Built a strong foundation in frontend and backend development using technologies such as PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Learned how to design, develop, test, and maintain web applications through practical projects.
-
Completed secondary education with a focus on practical and technical subjects. Developed an early interest in technology, problem-solving, and creating functional solutions.
Operating principles
Clear decisions, short loops and something real to react to.
-
Find the actual need
Before choosing a stack, I clarify the goal, the user and the smallest version worth building.
-
Build the right amount
I choose the simplest stack that fits, then move quickly into something real enough to test and improve.
-
Refine the experience
Responsive behaviour, subtle motion, accessible choices, readable code and a clear CMS turn a working build into a finished product.
Away from the screen
6.0 km 6.0 km · this month of mouse movement says enough about how much of my week is spent behind a screen. Away from work, I prefer things without one. My Discogs collection sits at 87 records, and I can lose hours mixing techno or finding the next record. Vinyl’s slower pace is probably part of the appeal.
The same curiosity carries into mechanical watches, 3D printing and cars, where engineering and small details reward patience. Sailing is the quieter counterpart: for now I explore the Wadden Sea, while reading about people who ventured much further and hoping to follow one day.
