I build your website

I build websites and webshops for businesses in and around Bolsward: a shop, a practice, a company. Made to measure, fast, and built so you can keep it up to date yourself. I already did that for my parents’ clothing store in Bolsward.

What you get

Six things that come back in every site.

  1. 01

    A site that is yours

No ready-made theme with a page builder on top, but a design and code made for what you want to show.

  2. 02

    Yours to update

You change texts, photos and opening hours yourself, in an admin that only shows what you need.

  3. 03

    Speed from the start

Light pages, images in the right format and no script that does nothing. This site is built the same way.

  4. 04

    Works for everyone

On a phone, with a keyboard and with a screen reader, not only on my own screen.

  5. 05

    One point of contact

You talk to the person who builds it. What we agree on does not have to pass someone else first.

  6. 06

    Code someone else can read

A clear structure and readable code, so you are not tied to me if you want to take it further later.

Who I do this for

My parents have a clothing store in Bolsward, Intence Mode. I built their site: one page with a new design, and an admin in which they change everything themselves.

I do the same for your business in or around Bolsward, from a few pages that are right to a webshop in WooCommerce or Shopify. I meet you in Bolsward, and you always talk to the person who builds it.

Not a business, but a portfolio or a first version of a product? That is under what I build beside my job.

How I work

Clear decisions, short loops and something real to react to.

  1. Find the actual need

Before choosing a stack, I clarify the goal, the user and the smallest version worth building.

  2. Build the right amount

I choose the simplest stack that fits, then move quickly into something real enough to test and improve.

  3. Refine the experience

Responsive behaviour, subtle motion, accessible choices, readable code and a clear CMS turn a working build into a finished product.

Questions

What people usually want to know first.

  1. That depends on what it has to be. Email what you have in mind, and I will tell you roughly what it costs and whether I have time for it.

  2. I do this beside my job as a developer. We agree on a schedule beforehand, so you know when it will be there.

  3. Yes. The admin is set up around your content, so you change texts and photos without breaking the design.

  4. Yes, gladly. I know Bolsward well and prefer to meet at your place once. After that most of it goes just as well remotely.

  5. Yes, in WooCommerce or Shopify, whichever suits your shop best. For Oursondenaissance, a French webshop for embroidered teddy bears, I built the storefront in Next.js on top of WooCommerce, with the personalisation in the product page itself.

Which stack when

I choose the simplest one that fits.

Stack When
WordPress Content someone manages themselves: a site, a portfolio, a blog.
Expo Something you carry with you and that has to remind you: an app.
Next.js A product with accounts, logic of its own or a lot of interaction.
Laravel An application with users, permissions and a lot of data.
